I’ve been to about ten concerts in the last two years and I have been in the younger half in about 5-6. I don’t think young people are as musically inclined as yours and mine.
Today I learned about Galloping Ghost in Brookfield. The largest arcade in the USA, with over 885+ games to play. $20 to play unlimited pinball. Have you been there? I haven't--yet.
I'm commenting on this post, because I searched Metaspiel for pinball to see if you wrote about the Galloping Ghost or about pinball. This is your only post with a mention of pinball.
So here's the thing: Galloping Ghost is four blocks away, and I have not been there. I have been to the separate pinball building a couple blocks farther down, but only once. If it were three towns over, it's MORE likely I would have gone! Part of it too is that it's only an arcade, it's not a beercade or snackcade or what-have-you, and you pay a flat fee, so you're making a pretty significant commitment of a day to go, but then there's kind of nowhere to eat within walking distance. I'm surprised they haven't added a Galloping Ghost Pan-Asian Cuisine on the block to address that...
Galloping Ghost Garage?! Amazing that Galloping Ghost has so many businesses on Ogden. He's gonna turn Brookfield into a Ghost Town! (in a good way)
What's the flat fee for a day? $20 or $25? Yeah, it's a commitment to a good time chunk to get your money's worth. Regarding the food, someone on Yelp left a review saying, 'When you need a food break, walk next door to Danny's Italian Pizza & Beef for excellent Chicago hot dogs, Italian subs, their special "Danny's hamburger," and fantastic onion rings. You can re-enter by showing your receipt.'
