Do they "deserve" the honors? I don't think that's the right word / question. They don't "deserve honors" but so exactly what? What do *we* "deserve"? etc.
Now, Pete Rose? Shoeless Joe? I don't know. Different crimes, right? I don't think there should be NO gatekeepers... and I think it's okay to not know, to really really not know.
